At the end of the training session preceding the challenge against Faenza, valid for the 17th day of Techfind Serie A1, these were the words of coach Pierre Vincent: “We are going through a complex moment after the victory against Basket Landes but that still did not allow us to qualify for the quarterfinals of EuroLeague Women, which we missed by a whisker. We want to end in the best way this period of positive results on the court, such as the trips to Prague and Mersin where we played good games. After the national team break we have two months of preparation ahead of us in which we will have very few games, so we will have time to work individually as well, as if it were a new beginning of the season. Faenza has a team with very good specialists, players who shoot accurately and attack the iron, they found a way to defend against us in the first game and put us in trouble. We are working with concentration to handle this game.”
