Coach Gianolla spoke after game 1 against Schio: “Until you try these games, it’s not the same thing. We paid for the initial gap, we knew they would start like that but it’s one thing to say it and another to live it on the court. There was a moment at -7 where we made a mistake after a contact and on the other side we came back under. But it’s a series, this is the first chapter. The first 10′ we paid for our physicality, then we attacked badly and we were soft. We paid for a lot of ingenuity.”
Beatrice Barberis also commented on the game: “We started timidly, not with the right energy. We let Schio play easy. It’s only game 1, let’s think about Saturday. Schio is more used to these games, we learned today.”
