It appears that the Carpegna Pesaro’s ordeal is definitely over. This week, with Fortitudo, it touched yet another station with light: 5-1 in the last six, also reaping important scalps like Brindisi, Sassari and Tortona. The team did what it had to do to entertain the Vitrifrigo Arena thanks to the plays of Tyrique Jones, the totem of the area (best rebounder of the A Series with 9.9 caroms, in addition to 13.4 points guaranteed), skilled in dosing together with the basketball science deployed by Carlos Delfino (12. 2 points and 3 assists) who is living his season of unprecedented complicity, disguising himself as a 20 years old, insoluble enigma, control of the rhythm, that slow step with which he crushes without being noticed, forming the unprecedented generational axis of direction with Davide Moretti.

With Gora Camara forced to the pits for some time, the tricolor troop is completed by Simone Zanotti, while Mareks Mejeris, Latvian long player, has already shown he can be useful to the cause by guaranteeing 8.2 points and 4.7 rebounds. Tactically, today’s Carpegna has many weapons on the perimeter, one-on-one men like Sanford, deadly shooters like Lamb or Delfino, the weapon Tambone, Moretti’s ability to create off the dribble and the second opportunities provided by Jones. In the last six outings Pesaro has come close to 85 points, confirming its sixth position from long distance (36%), some gaps in rebounding (thirteenth only 35.5 caught) and in the circulation of the ball (just 15 assists per game).
