After the game against Reggio Emilia, coach Scariolo spoke in a press conference: “A very important win because it was obtained against a team that is playing with great organization and seriousness and also for the importance of keeping our home undefeated for our fans that were very present tonight. Excellent to excellent defense throughout the game then our opponents were good at taking advantage of every inch left even with difficult shots. We need to see players like Shengelia, Hervey and even Hackett get in the best shape but even if we were not always brilliant and intelligent in our choices we played as a team and played defensively with the right attitude against an opponent that has shown why it is in its position in the standings. Honestly I haven’t seen a difficult situation of Tex in the season. When he’s playing he gives his all and when he’s not playing he cheers on his teammates with the right spirit and I know he knows how to be ready. That’s what all the players in the rotation have to do, even when they know they don’t have much room. The positive attitude during the game and in training is essential to let the coach know that you are there when he needs you. I can say that despite the uninspiring shooting night, we did not create enough 3-point shots looking for other difficult solutions near the basket. Sometimes we made great 22 seconds and then miss the last ones but our opponents were good at staying there with every possession. We didn’t lose our patience like we usually do but we stayed focused.”
