After the win over Cremona, Coach Scariolo spoke at the press conference: “Like all victories a precious win, these games can also be lost. It’s also important to keep the home unbeaten streak, important for us and for our fans who make themselves heard, especially when needed. We played a very good first quarter and a good last 5′: in the middle we weren’t fluid, we struggled with their pick and roll and we allowed a few too many turnovers. On offense, on a night when the three-point shot doesn’t go in, it’s not easy: we’ve been shooting poorly for a couple of games but we don’t lose confidence. Cremona is an organized and talented team: I was impressed by Spagnolo, he is a superior player and I’m happy for Italian basketball. Now we have very little time to rest before an important and difficult game. The first place in the standings? It’s a gratification for those who work seriously on the court and in the offices, then we know it’s a transitory situation and we don’t give it that much weight but the fact that we’re up there is a nice confidence boost.”
