Finished the Euroleague game against Tango Bourges, this was the analysis of Coach Giampiero Ticchi: “I think that beyond the result we played a very good game, staying ahead for a very large part of the match, managing to contain their qualities especially at home. At the beginning we managed to do our thing, finding good shots and serving the ball inside: unfortunately, however, it was not enough.
It’s a game ending that repeats itself so it means that at this moment, in that particular situation, we have gaps therefore there is a lot to work on: being at our first in the Euroleague certainly doesn’t help, but let’s not look for alibis because such a situation can only be solved by working.”
Iliana Rupert, former on duty and elected MVP of her team, also spoke to the microphones this way: “I am happy to be back here where it all started for me: it is always good to see my former teammates and staff again. It’s very difficult for us because it’s the fourth time we’ve lost in the last minutes even though we knew it’s hard to win here and that we had to stay close to Bourges until the end. Tonight is hard, but we have to stay united and keep our heads up: we will fight until the last moment of the season because we are still running for our goals. It has often happened to me in the past that things can change in the last games and overturn the predictions.”
