Coach Ivanovic’s words at the press conference after the home game against ASVEL: “Before the game, we knew how difficult this challenge would be for us, both because of our current situation with injuries and because they are one of the most physical teams in the Euroleague. Throughout the match, we had major problems with offensive rebounds – I think we conceded 17 – and turnovers. For me, these were the two big problems tonight. In addition, we moved the ball too slowly in attack. In the second 20 minutes, we tried to get back into the match, putting in a lot of effort to try to get back into the game, but the end result was that we lost.”
Problems in defence between quarters? In the last quarter, we struggled a lot with 1-on-1 defence. The truth is that defence and offence go hand in hand: if we attack well, we also defend well, and vice versa. Defence and offence are connected. When we fell behind by that small margin, we lost our way. That’s normal; we never gave up, but sometimes these things happen.”
