Bologna, February 25 –
Coach Ivanovic’s statements at the press conference after the home win against Barcelona: “We did what we had to do to win the game: we were aggressive and had the right attitude in defense, we played well in transition, we passed and shared the ball, and we always looked for the best shooting option.”
I think we controlled the game very well, except for those turnovers in the final minutes. What needs to be understood is that every game is different, every team is different, and every day is different. For all these different reasons, players can’t always guarantee their best on the court. But I think that’s normal. What we always have to keep in mind is that we have to play aggressively. Sometimes I understand and sometimes I don’t understand that it can be difficult for a player to play a certain game or at a certain moment. What we try to do every time is to give the best performance possible, even though we often play every two days, which is certainly very difficult to manage. But if you want to win the Italian championship, you always have to play at your best.”
