Bologna –
Coach Luca Banchi spoke in press conference after the game with Treviso : “Game that confirmed the fears of the eve, that is, those of immediately finding energy to restart. We had an opponent thirsty for points and victories, who did not let themselves be intimidated. We had a good approach, the presence of Akele in the quintet helped us but the very moment Treviso lowered the quintet, as we knew, we started to suffer Olisevicius in the role of four and their outsides, which are of a high level. There we started to churn, we lost confidence and rhythm: halftime helped us find the aggressiveness we needed. Numbers don’t always explain, but going to halftime with Olisevicius scoring 26 points and 0 in the second half gives us an idea of the focus we put in the second half. We built a good gap, which with more offensive discipline we could have handled better, however, that is part of the logic. Satisfied to have achieved a victory at such a particular moment of our season. Halftime served us to keep the focus on what our game plan was, then there are aspects related to the emotional sphere: you can’t accept the idea of starting the way we started and then going to surrender, in some moments we were unfocused and not very aggressive, many small details that contributed to take away our pace. We were then able to almost always manage our offensive possessions, but defensively we have an urgency to dictate the pace of the game.”
