Coach Scariolo: “Obviously we have a tough challenge ahead of us, they were deservedly the number one team in our group and in the competition in general at this stage. They have one of the best rosters in the Eurocup, probably their strength and depth is only appreciated and perceived by people who follow European basketball professionally; we do, so we know how strong they are and how deep they are in terms of players. Even more so after adding important players, they are a very good team at the shooting level and at the defensive level with their athleticism and size, they force a lot of opponents’ turnovers and they go hard at defensive rebounds. We will have a lot to do in this game, but at the same time it’s an important challenge, we have to continue on our path which is to have a solid defense and find ways to be more efficient offensively, take shots without fear, attack dynamically and move their size as much as possible. Obviously we are missing our best shooters, but we can still build good shots and be ready to take those shots. By also adding some points on the counterattack we may be able to supplement our offensive haul, which along with good defense can be the keys to having a shot at win.”
