Bologna, September 17 –
adidas and Virtus Bologna today unveil the team’s Home Jersey for the 2025/26 season. This kit, the result of adidas’ relentless pursuit of excellence, is set to define new standards of performance and style on the basketball court, celebrating the deep bond between the club, the city and their recent championship victory.
The 2025/2026 Home Jersey is not just a piece of sportswear, but a symbol of Virtus Bologna’s passion, identity and winning history. Designed with the most advanced adidas technologies, the jersey offers superior comfort and unparalleled freedom of movement, allowing athletes to express their full potential in every game.
The elegant and distinctive design was conceived to reflect the strong bond between Virtus and the city of Bologna. For this reason, the jersey launch campaign features Carsen Edwards, making his debut with Virtus Bologna in this championship, alongside Matteo Accorsi and Matteo Baiocchi, promising young players under 19 from the club. In the video, Edwards explores Bologna before finding himself on a neighbourhood court, the true heart of street basketball, where he practises free throws under the gaze of a group of amazed fans. The video celebrates Virtus’ connection with the city and its fans, showing some of the places closest to the club – such as the porticoes of San Luca and the iconic trattoria where the athletes meet – and its most loyal and long-standing fans. This story, which highlights both the symbols of Bologna and the authentic passion for basketball, is reflected in the jersey design, which draws on the club’s history.
With the launch of this new jersey, the two organisations confirm their commitment to inspiring and engaging their respective communities, celebrating the spirit and inclusiveness of sport with an international approach that is firmly rooted in tradition.
The new Home Jersey will be available from the end of October in Virtus Bologna’s physical and online stores.
