Bologna, 8 February –
Last night, in a splendid setting, a new exciting session of Virtus Segafredo Bologna One Team programme took place.
The Virtus youth sector, the girls of Magika Castel San Pietro and the entire PGS Welcome Baskin team, players and coaches, came together again to learn how to work together on the field and succeed in projecting this spirit of collaboration into everyday life as well. This is in fact, the spirit of the One Team Methodology, which envisages a moment of reflection and discussion after each activity, in order to convey to the boys the importance of how what is done on the court can also be taken off the parquet.
Virtus Segafredo’s programme is centred on a virtuous circle in which baskin boys teach their fantastic sport to our youngsters, who, in turn, involve their new teammates in their personal and basketball growth. All this is led by a team of experienced coaches, who work with the boys in their group every day.
Below are the words of the participants.
“Every time I leave this activity I feel so grateful and lucky! When I get the chance to put a smile on someone’s face I try my best” Kyle Weems
“It was really exciting.” Daniel Hackett
“On behalf of myself and my wife I wanted to thank Virtus and Euroleague for this year’s One Team project involving Tommy. It’s an incredible experience that our son lives from the heart. He often asks me about the problems of some boys and is happy to see the joy in their faces after a basket or when a player passes him the ball.”
“It is an educational experience that our Italian school cannot give our children, so a heartfelt thank you from us for the organisational effort you make.” Virtus parent
“Thank you very much, my daughter came back so happy she couldn’t sleep: she’s still awake with joy, thank you very much” Parent Magika A.S.D.”
WE ARE ALL ONE TEAM!
