Coach Dusko Ivanovic’s comments during the post-match press conference following the Euroleague derby victory against Olimpia Milano: “I think tonight’s game shows that when the team plays as a team, fighting with energy and believing in themselves until the end, they can beat anyone. I want to congratulate my players who proved this tonight. This game was decided by the same factors as in Trieste, even though we played a less attractive game there but with the same spirit. And tonight, this also helped us to get the result.”<\/p>\n

Is it down to the players or the coach? “No, the win is down to the players. The coach only matters when you lose.”<\/p>\n

Perhaps the most difficult victory? “Perhaps, given the team we had available and, above all, the players we were missing. But that’s basketball. It doesn’t matter if someone on the court is fat, thin, short or tall: it’s 5 vs 5 and the important thing is to win.”<\/p>\n

Hackett the driving force behind the victory? “Yes, Daniel changed the game tonight with his aggression, but his contribution has been crucial since the start of the season. He is an excellent player, but first and foremost a great person. Daniel is very important to me and to the team for everything he gives us with his experience and great willingness.
