Coach Banchi spoke in a press conference after the game with Reggio Emilia<\/strong>: “I congratulate Reggio Emilia for the win, they were determined and aggressive after the Varese loss. We did not always have lucidity discipline and energy. 15 turnovers, very modest 20% from two. Inside the area we tried to take advantages but with so many mistakes it becomes difficult to win. The third period was more consistent, but then the lost balls doomed us, Reggio found decisive baskets in transition. Lots of mistakes from the lunette as well, not great quality contest. We need to manage our resources better. We played well on defense, Reggio held to 72 points is a small score for their potential, but we had to have more lucidity and cynicism to take advantage of the opportunities that presented themselves.”<\/em><\/p>\n

How do you prepare such a match with so little time? “There is no time to do it with the canonical criteria. You try to compress information and focus on the experience of experienced players. And you try to find an equilibrium between scouting on yourself and on opponents. We also have to integrate two new players and from next week another one returning from a long injury. It is not easy, there is also the stress of travel, little time to train and rest. You try to offer direct, fitting and accurate information so as not to waste anything.
