Virtus Segafredo Bologna is pleased to announce the exciting start of the first session of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague One Team social project, in collaboration with Open Group, a Social Cooperative in Bologna. The program aims to promote life values through basketball, involving young people from different backgrounds.<\/p>\n
The recipients of this season’s project are unaccompanied foreign minors and at-risk minors hosted in Open Group’s reception facilities.<\/p>\n
The One Team methodology, established in Barcelona by Euroleague Basketball, involves alternating practical training exercises with in-depth discussions highlighting the application of teachings in everyday life. This approach aims not only to develop playing skills but also, and above all, to foster team building, collaborative work, and the enjoyment of learning and growing together.<\/p>\n
The inaugural session, held at the Porelli gym in Via dell’Arcoveggio 49\/2, involved 16 young boys of various nationalities and focused on Team Building, with exercises and discussions aimed at creating and strengthening the teamwork spirit of the young participants. Despite the initial soccer preferences of the youngsters, the One Team methodology allowed them to approach basketball with enthusiasm, beginning to discover more about themselves and the experience of being part of a group.<\/p>\n
Virtus Segafredo Bologna expresses gratitude to Open Group for the valuable collaboration and commits to continue promoting positive values through the engagement of participants in this new journey together.<\/p>\n
