On Saturday, Dec. 16, at the game against Geas Sesto San Giovanni, a delegation from AGD Bologna, Young Diabetics Association, came to cheer on Virtus Segafredo Bologna women’s team.<\/p>\n
AGD is a voluntary association that supports research for the treatment of Type 1 diabetes at the city and international level.<\/p>\n
The group, composed of young people and their parents, with the guidance of President Salvatore Santoro had the opportunity to meet our own Lauren Cox, a player with the condition of Type 1 diabetes. Before the customary photos with the boys, Lauren answered their questions about her career as a professional player at high levels and the management of the condition.<\/p>\n
It was a meeting that provided a special day for the kids in attendance and a reminder of the importance of diabetes prevention and research.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
