I have to say that I’m very satisfied with the game my players played, or rather my team, because that’s the definition I would use. Tonight we made a great effort to come back ahead, we were punished by a few episodes at the end, clearly improvable. Heart, concentration and good decisions in general throughout the game, clearly some moments of defiance that the great opponent we faced took advantage of immediately. Especially at the end, this recovery when we found ourselves down by 9-10 points, it seems to me, was worthy of my congratulations. So we leave, I think, obviously unhappy with the game because we wanted to come here and win at least one game, but with more conviction having taken a step forward in closing the gap that divided the two teams, for example, compared to last year. We are there and of course the series moves to Bologna where our fans I’m sure will give our players all the support and the push in the most difficult moments that the Milan public did with theirs.
It was a balanced game with many episodes, which must be reviewed that came down to the end with the point to point, you have to make a decision, you can either take us or not. For example at the end we wanted to take a time out even if Melli made a mistake but it was impossible to know what to do in that case. They are all small details, the free throw the rebound especially the fouls we made on Shileds in the last minute that allowed some free throws and that jump to the fake by Shields himself that allowed him the open shot. I repeat, they are details, little things: we are there, we earned free throws, we didn’t put them in, but I should condemn those who miss free throws? It happens. I would like to say that to have finished the game with a significantly higher rating than the opponent despite taking 12 fewer rebounds I think is a sign of a great effort but also an area of great improvement with respect to the next game.
Things are always a bit fifty-fifty but I think today both Hackett and Pajola did a great job, credit to the effort they both put in and the help their teammates gave them especially on the pick n roll after the adjustments we made between Game 1 and Game 2. We did well and the team was there to help out the few times they were in trouble. Napier is a great player and will certainly be back in a big way for the next one.
In sport you don’t waste, that’s a feeling that people who play at the oratory can have. In sport you play, you fight, you put your face on and you fight: we had two great games, away from home against a great opponent and we really showed that we are at the top of the league. Cordinier on Melli? It was a defensive change: there are many things that need to be revised, but I was covered there, I didn’t see it.”

[268,248
269,265
post-57330","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-primo-piano-en","category-news","tag-app-en","tag-evidence
["GET
