Coach Sergio Scariolo spoke in a press conference after the win over Verona:<\/strong> “Verona was attached to the game, they have atypical players especially the long ones who can run and shoot. We did a great job on Anderson. I give kudos to Bortolani, a superior player for the speed with which he shoots, and to Ramagli for the game Verona played, with spirit and energy. We are happy with the way some players played, we lost too many balls but controlled rebounds well. I am happy for Mickey who played a quality game that hopefully will serve him to regain confidence. We have to be able to defend after attacking, we have to mentalize on this aspect because it will allow us to keep certain choices in the league, vice versa if not we will have to make do in a different way. The turnover? Ojeleye’s injury is a very unfortunate coincidence for the type of player he is, considering that he is one of the pillars on which the team is built. Jaiteh was sick yesterday, today he was in decent condition and we preferred to rest him. Turnover is not something coaches like, our season has been slaughtered by injuries since the beginning, plus we have players of an age for which if they play one game every 2-3 days they enter a zone of high risk of injury as well as a zone where performance drops. Maybe a couple of times we had a technical turnover but I have a hard time remembering that: you have to be able to manage things, with a very candid relationship with the medical staff and directly with the players who have their feelings. The return of Abass? Good news, for now from the human point of view: he is a guy who has a great heart and has been very serious about the recovery work, exemplary.
