Starting from December 2021, a charitable initiative supported by Segafredo and promoted by Fondazione Zanetti Onlus<\/strong> in synergy with Doctors with Africa CUAMM<\/strong> has kicked off. The aim is to carry out a health project in favor of malnourished children in Pujehun, Sierra Leone. By purchasing a Segafredo product in large-scale retail outlets and on the company’s online shop, consumers will contribute to the implementation of interventions dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child malnutrition: technical assistance from a Cuamm doctor in the pediatric ward, the purchase of equipment and therapeutic food and milk for the nutritional therapy ward. Segafredo will communicate the initiative in-store through information material and on its social and digital channels with a dedicated campaign. In addition, for the occasion, the packs of some of the best-selling products, Intermezzo and Espresso Casa 250g and 2x250g, will have an original and eye-catching graphic design completely dedicated to the project.<\/p>\n The project was conceived together with Fondazione Zanetti Onlus, set up in 2007 with the aim of helping minors living in difficult conditions in poor and emerging countries, and Doctors with Africa CUAMM, an NGO dedicated to promoting and protecting the health of African populations. “Through the Foundation, we are committed every day to providing concrete support to children who find themselves forced to live in extremely difficult conditions. We are familiar with the territory of Sierra Leone and the countless complexities that populate it. Together with CUAMM and Segafredo, who will support us in the promotion of this project, we intend to raise the necessary funds to finance activities aimed at combating malnutrition and infant mortality<\/em>,” said Laura Zanetti, vice-president of Fondazione Zanetti Onlus.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The match of the 23rd day of Serie A between Virtus Segafredo and Reyer Venezia will feature the charity initiative created by the Zanetti Onlus Foundation in synergy with Doctors with Africa CUAMM. There will be many initiatives during the match: the V Nere during the warm-up will wear the T-shirt made ad hoc for the occasion, during the interval there will be games on the Segafredo Arena field with prizes for all participants and, in the Mall of Piazza Virtus, all those interested in supporting the project can receive information and details.
