Virtus Segafredo Bologna makes its debut in its second season in EuroLeague Women against BC Polkowice. The match started immediately with two points by Polkowice, but Virtus answered with a triple by Dojkic and entered the game. Andrè manages to steal a ball that Cox puts in the basket for +3 Virtus, and from here the V Nere take the lead thanks to the Zandalasini-Dojkic duo. The first quarter ends 23-20 after five points by Consolini. In the second period of play Polkowice tries to recover, but Virtus remains focused and goes ahead +6 at halftime (45-39). It is in the third quarter that the bianconere definitely overtake their opponents: 31-19 partial thanks to excellent teamwork, at 30′ the scoreboard reads 76-58. The match ends with a score of 90-69 for coach Vincent’s girls, their first home win in EuroLeague Women.
