Angela Gianolla sports area manager and Assistant coach Virtus women

Virtus Segafredo Bologna announces that Angela Gianolla will be sports area manager and Assistant Coach in the women’s Virtus team.

“I’ve had an exciting and fortunate sporting career, but now a further step forward is coming. I’m really flattered that an important club like Virtus Segafredo Bologna has called me to take on this role in a project that is growing so much. I would like to thank the club once again and I hope to repay their trust”. – Angela Gianolla’s first words.

Born in Venice on July 22, 1980, Angela played in Serie A from 2001 to 2019 as point guard for, among others, Venice, Schio, Lucca, San Martino and Ragusa, winning a total of 2 shields, 2 Italian Cups, 3 Italian Supercups and 1 A2 Championship.
After winning her second Italian Cup in Ragusa, at the end of the 2018/2019 season, she decides to retire from playing basketball and join the technical staff of the Sicilian team where for two seasons she was Assistant Coach.

During her playing career, Angela played 35 games with the Italian national team.
